At last...it's cool to be fashion neutral...

I was recently interviewed by Sheerluxe.com and asked how I would describe my own personal dress sense. Instantly I flew into a mild panic - I hate this question mostly because I think of my dress sense as boring, I don't have the time or the inclination to keep up with the latest fashions and frankly the thought of even walking into a Topshop, let alone actually buying anything from there - does nothing for me. So when Kate Middleton was described as ‘fashion neutral' last week I struggled to contain my excitement. Finally a high profile woman who dresses in a stylish and sophisticated way that works for her and gives her confidence but that isn't high fashion - great news for many I'm sure.


Out of interest I polled a few brutally honest friends and asked them to describe my style, "glamorous, classical and elegant but I'd like to see you push the boundaries sometimes". OK, you find me the stylist, the time and the budget and I'll start being more adventurous. Now, where is that little black dress...?
