Think luxury, glamour, extravagance and most importantly fun! - a casino themed party or wedding is perfect at any time of year.

     

To capture the essence of this theme, look to the magnificence of the big well known casinos in las vegas...  But don't worry, about things becoming garish, the idea is luxurious and glamorous indulgence!  Almost any venue can be transformed to fit in with this theme, but you could consider going all the way and looking into holding your event within a casino as they often have great reception rooms available for hire.

Taking inspiration from the splendour of the Las Vegas 'strip', the colour palette for this theme should incorporate bold colours such as reds, blacks and golds which will add to the extravagent feel of the theme.

Acknowledging the colour palette, floral displays should also incorporate strong and bold blooms.  You can't go wrong with bouquets of magnificent red roses, displayed in tall vases.  To add to the glamour, think about incorporating crystal sprays into the bouquets.

For lighting, think subdued with a hint of debauchary!!  Instead of traditional white candles, look out for opulent looking black candles.

Either white or black table linen make an ideal base to get you started with decorating your tables, table confetti adds lots of glamour and extra sparkle, so why not scatter some metallic red or silver stars onto the tables to reflect the theme
  Feathers also work really well with this look.  If you're not having floral displays, you could create a dramatic centrepiece using elegant plume feathers.  Extend this look across your tables by placing a single feather into each guest's wine glass
 

Using a roulette wheel as inspiration, ensure guests know where they are sitting using place cards decorated with alternating red and black accessories.  Feathers or crystal sprays work really well
 

Place black tuxedo favour boxes, filled with black chocolate hearts, onto each of the men's plates and give each of the women a black handbag favour
 

To emphasise the casino feel, why not leave guests some lottery tickets on each table - they will add to the fun of the evening

 

   
 

Below are a few extra ideas to incorporate the lavishness of your Viva Las Vegas theme:

To arrive at your venue in extreme vegas style, you could consider hiring a Harley Davidon (and most likely someone to drive it!)
To bring the casino theme to life, you could hire roulette and black jack tables for your guests to have a cheeky flutter on during the reception
