We've put together some tips to make sure that your reception tables look the part for this classic yet contemporary theme:

Start off by choosing good quality linen and tableware with clean and simple designs. Choose white or silver cutlery and simple yet stylish wine and water glasses - let the food supply the colour. |

Place silver candelabras on table centres with long, white taper candles. Scatter white or black rose petals around the candelabras and across the table. |

Place a feather (again choose either black or white) in the wine glass of each guest. When the wine is poured, your guests can tip them into the middle of your table to add to the rose petals centre display. |

To make sure your guests know where to sit, choose either After dark perfect place cards which feature 16 attributes from ‘clever' to ‘gorgeous' allowing you to describe each person's character, or make your own using classic white place cards for an equally striking alternative - slot a feather into the corner or tie some black satin ribbon through the holes to add detail. |
