We've put together some tips to make sure that your reception tables look the part for this classic yet contemporary theme:

  Start off by choosing good quality linen and tableware with clean and simple designs. Choose white or silver cutlery and simple yet stylish wine and water glasses - let the food supply the colour.
  Place silver candelabras on table centres with long, white taper candles. Scatter black rose petals around the candelabras and across the table - black petals on crisp white table linen look sensational. To introduce some sparkle and a contrasting texture, scatter clear table gems across the table - these look beautiful as they capture and reflect the light.
 

Place a feather (again choose either black or white) in the wine glass of each guest. When the wine is poured, your guests can tip them into the middle of your table to add to the rose petals centre display.
 

To make sure your guests know where to sit, why not make your own place cards using classic white place cards - slot a feather into the corner or tie some black satin ribbon through the holes to add detail. 
  For table gifts, tie a glossy white favour box with black satin ribbon and fill with black chocolate hearts. For additional glamour, tie a glitter butterfly (in either white or black) to each box. 
 

Alternatively, if you prefer something a little more traditional, place a white or black organza bag on each plate filled with  black miniature chocolate hearts or white sugared almonds.
  If you want to introduce some more ‘fun' elements to your table, consider adding some table accessories to put your guests in the party spirit. If you're not having a flower arrangement in the centre of each table, fill a glass bowl with disposable cameras instead 
  Lastly, make sure all your precious memories are captured in a way that reflects the effort you put into your special day - have a guest book on display at the reception so that your guests can write down their thoughts and emotions for you and invest in a special photo album that allows you to display all your photos in style as well as a matching keepsake box to store all the special mementoes surrounding the day such as well-wishing cards from friends and family
