How can I add the personal touch to simple wedding favour boxes?

Favours are a great way to add that extra personal touch to your wedding day.  Starting with a plain favour box, there are lots of different decorating options to really make favour boxes your own.

Use stamps to personalise your favour boxes

Think about tying favour boxes in by finishing them off with a small detail related to the theme of your wedding.   If you are having a nautical or beach theme for instance, sticking on a small shell you’ve collected yourself from a beach will look beautiful.  Or, if you are having a rustic theme, a small sprig of lavender or rosemary tied to favour boxes with parcel string looks great.

Use gorgeous personalised ribbon wrapped around simple favour boxes

Think about what you love, or what people associate you with – fabulous shoes, having a sweet tooth, a love of travel to far off lands?  All of these things can be translated into small tags, trinkets or labels to finish off your favour boxes.  Anything that you have taken the time to source or collect yourself will give a personal touch.

Add lovely little printed tags for an inexpensive and personal touch

There are also things you can do for more literal personalisation of your wedding favour boxes.  These include tying them with a personalised ribbon, which could cite your names, wedding date and venue.

You could have customised stickers made, perhaps with your intertwined initials on them and wedding date.  These look great simply stuck over ribbon the lid of favour boxes.  Finally, for a more fun approach, have stickers made up with an amusing photo of yourself and new husband/wife on them.

Add a little ribbon and stick on buttons for a cute look to favours

The opportunities and ideas are simply endless – have fun and make sure you send us a picture of the finished masterpieces!
